Honest Government Ad | Visit Australia! (2019)

The Australien Government has made a new tourism ad, and it’s surprisingly honest and informative!

And we’re back! 👋🧡 Welcome to Season 2 of the Honest Government Ads. I thought we’d kick off by revisiting the very first HGA we made back in 2016, also titled Visit Australia. Lucy and I made it in just a day, we had no budget, no actors, no animations – and NO idea this would turn into such a beloved ongoing series!

We’ve come a long way since then. And it’s all thanks to our Patrons & supporters who made it possible to turn this into an ongoing thing; to have actors (wb Zoë & Ellen) and now also cool animations (thx to Brent). So here we are – I guess this is what a crowdfunded show looks like!

But we have a lot of work ahead of us – there are so many troubling things on the horizon, the climate and extinction crisis being the most daunting one. We’re going to do our very bloody best to tackle these and other issues in season 2 – so we can do our bit to raise awareness, slay bullshit, and keep us sane with some laughter along the way.
